Zaman Lenin has spent 25 years on the tools and teaches the trade. Practical courses are being put together now — there is no date locked in yet, and nothing to pay.
What the courses will cover
The syllabus is still being finalised. This is the ground it is being built on — practical work rather than theory, aimed at people who want to do the job properly rather than pass a test.
Measuring and setting out
The part that decides whether everything after it fits. Reading a space, marking accurately, and checking before cutting.
Hand and power tool work
Using tools properly and safely, keeping them sharp, and knowing which one the job actually calls for.
Joints and fixings
How timber is joined and held, which fixing suits which load, and why the wrong one fails later rather than immediately.
Doors, frames and trim
The most common jobs in any home, done to a standard that holds up — including diagnosing why a door binds.
Built-ins and storage
Scribing to walls that are not square, which is most of them, and building storage that fits the room it lives in.
Finishing properly
The difference between work that looks done and work that looks finished, which is nearly always in the last ten percent.
